Terry waits on injury as Dzeko sends out message
Chelsea will learn today the full extent of the knee injury suffered by John Terry in yesterday's 1-1 draw with Liverpool when he undergoes an MRI scan. Terry, right, who opened the scoring, was taken off on a stretcher after an accidental collision with Luis Suarez, who also equalised for Liverpool.
Meanwhile, Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko told his manager last night that "the goals are my message" as his seventh strike of the season pressed his case for a starting place. Dzeko's goal in the 88th helped City to a 2-1 win against Tottenham Hotspur.
Roberto Mancini said: "He [Dzeko] is not happy. A player who is happy on the bench does not exist." City did not dismiss reports that Mario Balotelli, who was not in the squad yesterday, may be heading out of the club, possibly bound for AC Milan.
Elsewhere, Mark Clattenburg is not expected to be named on the referees' list for next weekend's fixtures when it is released today. MORE
